Join the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City!

Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City educate the public on gardening topics, answer gardening questions, and are proud contributors in their community.  Some of the programs Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City are involved in are Hotline, Speakers Bureau, Garden Tour, Demonstration garden plots, Special Events, and Community Projects, which include: Ronald McDonald House, Watkins Woolen Mill historic heirloom garden, Martha LaFitte Thompson Nature Sanctuary, Harvesters, and much, much more.   Application for the next class is due on June 9.  Additional Information.

Mt. Memorial Cemetery

Tour meets at the Miller Street entrance to the William Jewell College campus. Led by Juarenne Hester, President of the Clay County Historical Society.  This tour is part of explore Liberty's Heritage walking tour program. Going Green: Evergreens and Conifers

Gardeners Gatherings Program will go GREEN as Mr. Zink, a
horticulturalist and MU graduate, shares  what evergreens/confers to buy and not to buy. In addition, he will share tips on landscaping, and how to maintain healthy evergreens/confers in our own gardens. Refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be given away.  Location: Discovery Center,

Battle over the Dead
The Holmes Brigade and Friends of the Anderson House will co-sponsor a reenactment of the battle in the local cemetery which proceeded the Battle of Lexington, 1861.  Reservations are required and there is a charge.
