The Toy and Miniature Museum is about to close its doors temporarily on January 6, 2014 in order to make some very important and exciting changes. When it re-opens, it'll be doing so as The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures!

The Johnson County Library through the Johnson County Library Foundation recently secured a $50,000 grant from the Hall Family Foundation.  This is a two-year commitment to help fund important library programs and resources for youth and teens, particularly those in poverty and at risk. The library provides a variety of programs that serve vulnerable populations like Homework Help,, and 6 by 6 Early Literacy Outreach. The Hall Family Foundation has provided grant assistance in the past for library services to incarcerated youth which has helped expand hope and opportunity to teens at a crossroads in their life.
