The Bloch Building represents an architectural accomplishment of international importance. Despite criticism during its planning and construction, the iconic addition has become a point of civic pride emblematic of Kansas City’s rising prominence in design and the fine and performing arts.

If your summer travels take you along Highway 36,  you may find yourself on parts of the Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean Highway. And, if you travel along I-29 or Highway 71/49, you'll spend time along the Jefferson Highway.  Both highway systems were part of America's earliest transcontinental highways.
