From August-October, prominent fountains are highlighted throughout the city, while guests feast on delicious food offerings from KC’s favorite food trucks, enjoy live music, and other family activities.
The exhibit encourages visitors to explore the lessons learned from World War I with artifacts focusing on the experience of St. Joseph during the war years, drawing direct parallels to issues that face our community today and commemorating the lives of those who lived through the era.
A collection of oral histories that might have been lost to future generations if not for In Their Own Words, a new book that began as a video project featuring interviews with 14 St. Joseph African American community leaders will be featured.
