Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area is pleased to be working with the Topeka Capital-Journal  to publish a series of articles about the heritage area and its partners. The most current article, dated August 12, 2015, addresses The Battle of Island Mound.  Read Article

The Topeka Capital-Journal is doing a year-long feature series on Freedom's Frontier National Heritage Area. Articles about Freedom's Frontier appear in the Topeka Capital-Journal monthly and feature the history of the area, historic sites to visit, and events that residents can attend to learn more about our shared history.
