The St. Joseph Museums, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Spire Energy to create a children’s learning, play, and exploration area at the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion.
The Mansion, located at 1100 Charles Street, in St. Joseph, is owned by the City of St. Joseph and operated by the St. Joseph Museums. It is located in the heart of the Museum Hill Historic District and serves as a community anchor and Museum site. The Wyeth-Mansion showcases exhibits on the second and third floors and offers events and rental spaces on the first floor. The new children’s exploration space will encourage greater use and appreciation of the community gardens and Mansion grounds.
A committee of community experts, neighbors, and volunteers will coordinate with City and Museum staff to develop plans for the learning area over the next few months. For more information on the Wyeth Tootle Mansion, visit stjosephmuseum.org.
